Newt Gingrich: …

Newt Gingrich: “This is an administration that is shocked at profiling against terrorism, but apparently had an entire part of the IRS that was profiling for patriotism. I find that to be very, very chilling in terms of our political liberty.”(AP)

Intellectual Honesty and Professor Stephen Hawking

“Do not come here, do not speak here. In fact, if you want to be intellectually honest, don’t speak at all, because the Israeli-made chip that allows you to communicate, is breaking the boycott.”

Paula Stern, Founder and Documentation Manager of WritePoint, a technical writing company.

“Do not come here, do not speak here. In fact, if you want to be intellectually honest, don’t speak at all. You see, the device that you, Professor Hawking. use to communicate despite your crippled body, includes a computer with an Intel Core i7-based communication system, which runs on a chip designed in Israel.

“So you see, Hawking, every word you say bears testimony to your hypocrisy.

Hawking
Dry Bones: “How ya’gonna’ believe what Hawking says is going on at the edges of the universe if he’s so wrong about what is going on here in Israel?”

The Crimes of the IRS

Although we will never know all the crimes of the IRS, may I please present two?

(1)  As even the MSM reports, and after repeatedly denying it was doing so, the IRS has “apologized” for specially targeting conservative political groups for scrutiny of their non-profit status and charters, “for giving conservative groups with ‘Tea Party’ and ‘patriot’ in their names extra scrutiny, including improperly asking for lists of donors.”  That, sir or ma’am, is in strict contradiction to OUR first amendment, making it a crime. As should be expected, conservative groups and political leaders rejected a top Internal Revenue Service official’s apology.  We as upstanding citizens should do even more!

Use of government resources against any person or group because of his or her thoughts or statements smacks of Nazism and the oppression of third world dictators.  Who would have thought this country would come to this?

As Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., said, “The conclusion that the IRS came to is that they did have agents who were engaged in intimidation of political groups is [sic] as dangerous a problem the government can have. … This should send a chill up your spine. … I don’t know where it stops or who is involved.”

(2) In 2010, the passionately pro-Israel organization Z STREET filed a lawsuit against the IRS, claiming it had been told by an IRS agent that because the organization was “connected to Israel,” its application for tax-exempt status would receive additional scrutiny. This admission was made in response to a query about the lengthy review of Z STREET’s tax exempt status application, as reported here.

In addition, the IRS agent told a Z STREET representative that the applications of some of those Israel-related organizations have been assigned to “a special unit in the D.C. office to determine whether the organization’s activities contradict the Administration’s public policies.”

Z STREET’s lawsuit claims the IRS activity constitutes viewpoint discrimination and a violation of its constitutionally protected right of free speech.

Attitude is Everything

Copied from a www.MikeysFunnies.com daily issue.

Jerry was the kind of guy you love to hate. He was always in a good mood and always had something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, “If I were any better, I would be twins!”

He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude. He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Syria as a Metaphor

Written by Mordechai Karpel for Arutz 7, published April 5, 2013
Translated into English as a public service by Women in Green

The decline of Europe allows the Arabs to be free of the diplomatic structure it had created in the Middle East and of the basic concepts, such as ‘Nation’ and ‘National state,’ in which it had been anchored.

As these lines are being written, Assad’s government has somehow not yet fallen. However it seems that the process will be completed shortly.

The core of the matter is not necessarily in Syria itself, but in the revolutionary process that is sweeping over the Middle East in general, and specifically in every country in it, and Syria presents a good metaphor for understanding it. Continue reading

“When you see t…

“When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer protect you against them, but protect them against you, you may know that your society is doomed.” Ayn Rand
